Boeing 787-9

Our Boeing 787 is our primary long-haul solution, it serves our longest routes and is our most fuel efficient aircraft burning around 1.5%-2% less fuel than our A350-1000 aircraft. Our Dreamliner's are mainly based out of London Heathrow, however are sometimes utilised on routes from our other hub, Manchester Airport.

Airbus A350-1000

The Airbus A350-1000's are our newest additions to our ever-growing fleet, they provide a modern and sleek look and fly in our candy red and black colour scheme. These new long haulers are based out of both Manchester Airport and London Heathrow and can be an incredible solution for a quick hop over the Atlantic or over Europe. Given their extra length in comparison to our B787, it's important to be wary of potential tail strikes!

Boeing 747-400

The Majestic Queen of the Skies, a truly incredible flagship and an important representation of the capacity and direction of Virgin Atlantic. These aircraft are no different to our newer generation models, they are just as capable and in some opinion more visually appealing. The roar of four General Electric CF6's propelling 412,000 KG's worth of aircraft into the sky certainly has some wow factor and will give you long lasting adrenaline for the rest of the day.

Airbus A330-300

The Airbus A330 is the most common bird in our fleet. They operate the most popular routes all year round, with aircraft sometimes being based in Belfast and Edinburgh, the A330 operates our most exotic and urban routes with flights to our most built up areas such as New York and Boston, to our summer getaways such as The Bahamas.
